July 2019 GDP Data Released

Statistics Canada today released GDP data for July (here). Goods-producing industries' output fell by 0.7% while service-producing industries grew by 0.3%; the net result was no GDP growth for the month. Non-residential construction was up by 0.7% - the seventh time in eight months activity in this sector increased. All sub-sectors - commercial, industrial and public sector - showed increases.
